Spicy Mashed Avocado Tuna Salad
This no-mayo tuna salad is creamy, spicy, high-protein, and full of healthy fats from avocado. It comes together in under 10 minutes and makes the perfect lunch or snack when you want something quick, flavorful, and satisfying.
Ingredients (Makes 1–2 servings):
1 ripe Hass avocado
1 can tuna (drained; packed in water or olive oil)
1–2 tablespoons jarred jalapeños, finely chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice (or more to taste)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: 1–2 tablespoons shredded carrots (for crunch)
Optional toppings: extra jalapeños, chili flakes, or a drizzle of hot sauce
Directions:
1) In a medium bowl, mash the avocado until smooth but still a little chunky.
2) Add the drained tuna and break it up with a fork.
3) Stir in the chopped jalapeños, lemon juice, garlic powder, and fresh dill. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4) Mix until well combined. Add shredded carrots if using.
5) Serve immediately with crackers, toast, cucumber slices, rice cakes, or in a lettuce wrap.
Pro Tips:
Use a little more lemon juice if you want it extra bright.
Add chili flakes or hot sauce for more heat.
