High Protein Orange Creamsicle Ninja Creami
If you grew up chasing the ice cream truck for an orange creamsicle, you're going to love this healthier version. It's creamy, refreshing, packed with protein, and honestly tastes just like the classic. I even mixed in crushed vanilla wafer cookies for that nostalgic flavor, and it might be my favorite Ninja Creami recipe yet!
Ingredients
Creami Base
1 cup Fairlife 2% milk
½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt
½ cup fresh orange juice (about 2 oranges)
Zest of 1 orange
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon orange extract
1–2 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)
Pinch of salt
Mix-In
2–3 vanilla wafer cookies, crushed
Optional Toppings
Fresh orange zest
Additional crushed vanilla wafer cookies
Instructions
Add the Fairlife milk, vanilla Greek yogurt, fresh orange juice, orange zest, vanilla extract, orange extract, honey, and a pinch of salt to your Ninja Creami pint.
Blend everything together using an immersion blender until smooth.
Secure the lid and freeze on a level surface for at least 24 hours.
Remove the pint from the freezer and process using the Lite Ice Cream setting.
If the mixture is crumbly after the first spin, add 1–2 tablespoons of Fairlife milk and use the Re-Spin function until smooth and creamy.
Create a well in the center of the Creami, add the crushed vanilla wafer cookies, and run the Mix-In cycle.
Scoop into a bowl and top with fresh orange zest and additional crushed vanilla wafer cookies, if desired.
Tips
Fresh orange juice gives the best flavor.
Don't skip the orange zest—it really brings out the orange creamsicle flavor.
If your Creami looks powdery after the first spin, simply add a splash of milk and Re-Spin.
The crushed vanilla wafer cookies are my favorite part—they make it taste even more like the classic orange creamsicle.
