Refreshing Lemon Mint Slush
Looking for the perfect refreshing summer drink? This Lemon Mint Slush is sweet, tart, and incredibly refreshing. Made with fresh lemons, mint, and a few simple ingredients, it's one of my family's favorite drinks to enjoy after a day outside or at the pool. If you're looking for an easy homemade frozen drink that tastes like something you'd order at a restaurant, this recipe is a must-try!
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients
½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4 medium lemons)
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
¼ cup fresh orange juice
½ cup packed fresh mint leaves
2 cups ice-cold water
4 cups ice
Pinch of salt
Optional Garnish
Fresh mint sprigs
Lemon slices
Instructions
Add the lemon juice, sugar, orange juice, fresh mint, cold water, and a pinch of salt to a high-speed blender.
Blend for 20–30 seconds until the mint is finely chopped.
Add the ice and blend again until smooth, thick, and slushy.
Taste and adjust if needed. Add a little more lemon juice if you prefer it more tart or another teaspoon of sugar if you'd like it a little sweeter.
Pour into glasses, garnish with fresh mint and a lemon slice if desired, and enjoy immediately.
Tips
Fresh mint makes all the difference in this recipe. If you have it growing outside, pick it fresh for the best flavor.
The splash of orange juice helps balance the tartness of the lemons without making the drink taste like orange.
This slush is best enjoyed right after blending for the perfect icy texture.
Storage
This recipe is best served immediately. If it melts, simply blend it again with a little more ice to bring back the slushy consistency.
