Hot Honey Shrimp Cocktail Board
Protein-forward · 10 minutes · Sweet + spicy perfection
Ingredients:
1 lb cooked shrimp (frozen, tail-on, 26–30 count per lb)
1–2 tbsp hot honey
½ tsp smoked paprika (optional, adds warmth + color)
½ tsp garlic powder
Juice of ½ lemon
Cocktail sauce (store-bought is perfect)
Fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or cilantro) for garnish
Lemon wedges for serving
Optional extras (for a fuller look):
Celery sticks or cucumber slices
Crackers or pita chips
Sprinkle of chili flakes or flaky sea salt on top
Directions:
1) Thaw the shrimp
Place frozen shrimp in a colander under cold running water for 5–7 minutes.
Toss occasionally until thawed.
Pat very dry with paper towels so the glaze sticks properly.
2) Glaze the shrimp
In a medium bowl, toss together:
Shrimp
Hot honey
Smoked paprika + garlic powder
Squeeze of lemon
Mix until shrimp are evenly coated and glossy.
You’re not marinating — just lightly glazing them for shine and flavor.
3) Warm & caramelize
Air fryer: 400°F for 3–4 minutes
OR broiler: top rack for 2–3 minutes
Watch closely — they’re already cooked; you’re just glazing and heating until sticky and slightly browned at edges.
4) Assemble the board (or plate)
Place a small bowl of cocktail sauce just off-center on your large plate.
Arrange glazed shrimp around it in a circle or spiral.
Tuck in lemon wedges and herb sprigs for color.
Optional: add celery sticks or crackers for extra texture.
5) Finish + serve
Drizzle a little extra hot honey on top for shine.
Sprinkle flaky salt or chili flakes if you’d like a touch more heat.
Serve warm or at room temperature — both are delicious.
