Easy Greek Yogurt Labneh Spread
Labneh is a creamy strained yogurt spread that is popular throughout the Middle East. Growing up, one of my favorite lunches was a simple labneh sandwich with cucumbers and tomatoes. This version uses whole milk Greek yogurt for an easy, protein-packed twist.
Ingredients
For the Labneh Spread
32 oz whole milk Greek yogurt
1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Sandwich
2 slices bread
1/4 cup labneh spread
1/2 cucumber, sliced
1 tomato, sliced
Olive oil for drizzling
Instructions
Stir the salt into the Greek yogurt.
Line a strainer with cheesecloth or a clean kitchen towel and place over a bowl.
Add the yogurt and refrigerate for 12–24 hours to strain.
Transfer the thickened labneh to a container.
To Make the Sandwich
Spread the labneh onto both slices of bread.
Top with sliced cucumbers and tomatoes.
Drizzle with olive oil.
Serve immediately and enjoy.
